Since the beginning of this year, the aluminium processing industry has continued to see strong production and sales. In Sichuan Province and other areas, orders for aluminium sheets, aluminium strips, aluminium foil materials and aluminium wires have been coming in one after another, keeping the production sites of aluminium processing companies busy and vibrant.

Sichuan Guangyuan Wanshun Zhongji Aluminium Co., Ltd primarily produces aluminium foil materials for new energy batteries and double-zero foil for food packaging. According to Wu Hexing, the executive vice general manager of the company, they achieved 42.3% of the annual profit target in the first quarter (January to March). To handle orders in the coming months, production is currently running at full capacity, with equipment utilisation nearing 90%, meeting the overall investment goals of the projects.

Orders for aluminium wires and pipe products have also increased. Wu Jiajia, general manager of Sichuan Jiuda New Materials Co., Ltd, was busy issuing instructions to meet orders on the round aluminium rod production line for electrical applications. General Manager Wu stated, "This year, orders are especially high. The products produced each day are transported the same day by delivery vehicles. Inventory is almost zero."

Industry insiders indicate that tensions in the Middle East are increasing uncertainty in the global aluminium industry chain, leading to production cuts and supply constraints in some overseas aluminium factories. On the other hand, China's aluminium industry chain has shown extremely high resilience and stability, effectively handling orders shifted from abroad. According to data, China's exports of unwrought and unrolled aluminium and aluminium materials from January to April increased by 8.9% year on year to 2.053 million tonnes. (Edited by YF)
